Your drawing on the earth is uploaded to the web (www.earthmessage.net), and everyone can see your EarthMessages.

Browsing EarthMessage

When you start Earth Message iPhone app, you will see a view as below.
From left is your EarthMessage list ("My Message"), new EarthMessages from other users ("New"), and EarthMessages specially featured now ("Featured").

When you click the disclosure button on the left of a message, you will see wider view of the EarthMessage.

By tapping upper right "Action" button, you can mail the link to this message (in www.earthmessage.net) to your friends.
(Your friends can see this Earth Message in a normal PC browser. )

Creating EarthMessage

First time you open "My Message" tab, you are required to register your username and password.
To create your own EarthMessage you have to create your account.
Please consider;

• When you post your EarthMessage to Web, your username is displayed together with your messages in EarthMessage iPhone/Android app and also in EarthMessage Web site (www.earthmessage.net) to other users.

After creating your account you can go to "Trail" view as below.

This view is for creating EarthMessage.
By sliding bottom right slider, you can switch between "Trail" mode and "Sketch" mode.

In "Sketch" mode, you can draw your plan of your trail by finger painting. Press "Pen" button in the center of the bar to "sketch" your trail.

In "Trail" mode, you can draw EarthMessage by your own foot (i.e. by walking with GPS tracking).
When pressing "Foot Print" button in the center, you are required to select painting color at the first time.
GPS tracking starts as soon as you press this "Foot Print" button.

You can change painting color whenever you want.
By pressing "Foot Print" button again, GPS tracking stops. If you wan to draw multiple strokes, stop tracking at the end of each stroke.

You can use maximum 100 GPS logs to draw one EarthMessage. Please pay attention to the remaining loggable GPS locations shown in the small navigation panel while drawing EarthMessage.

One tip to save the number of logs is to make your iPhone sleep while drawing a straight stroke. EarthMessage is not logging while sleeping, so if you make your iPhone sleep at the starting point of a straight stroke and resume your iPhone (and EarthMessage app) at the end of a straight stroke, only the start point and end point of the line is logged, thus you can save the numbers of GPS logs.

Your trail is automatically saved in the phone, so you can go back to the message list view or turn off EarthMessage app while drawing EarthMessage.

GPS tracking is working while EarthMessage app is in background, thus you can listen iPod or check emails while drawing EarthMessage.

After you finish drawing, you can post that EarthMessage to Web. Once posted, your EarthMessage will be in public and can be browsed from other users via EarthMessage iPhone/Android app or www.earthmessage.net.
Please press "Cloud" button on the upper right, fill in the title and free comment and press upload button. It may take 10 - 20 seconds when you post a large EarthMessage.
